Above water Gili Trawangan is a backpacker mecca. The island is very relaxed and laid-back, with countless little beachside cafes playing reggae and serving up banana pancakes, but also at the other end of the scale, elaborate seafood buffets, fresh salads and very good western and Asian food. Best of all, there are no cars or motorbikes to disturb the peace. The white sand beaches are without
a doubt better than anywhere on Bali or Lombok. There is a strong environmental focus on the reefs after they have been damaged in the past. While once people came to dive, snorkel and party, a more up-market tourist is showing up now and while it is still all about the beach, there are many more options to wine and dine or hang out and meet new friends.
Itinerary
On the day of arrival, the equipment will be fitted and packed for the following days of diving; the rest of the day is left for exploring on land and settling in. The full days on resort consist of diving until afternoon on the local and offshore sites, all dives are dived from boat. Between the three daily dives, the boat will return to the dive center. The dive sites vary from day to day, depending on wind and weather. Please check with the dive center what dives will be done the day before they are conducted. There will be no refund on dives not used. Check out at noon.
DIVE PACKAGE:
6 days and 5 nights - 10 dives
Fundiving Gili Trawangan Extended The longer option with 10 dives spread out on 5 days of diving, one day of arrival and 5 nights of accommodation, the dive sites will vary depending on weather and experience level.
Please allow a minimum of 24 hours, after your last dive, before flying.
(some countries will allow you to fly after 18 hours on land).
If you want a longer itinerary, you can add extra days of diving and accommodation upon booking.
