Spend the first two nights at Milhouse Hostel in Buenos Aires. Strategically located in the core of downtown Buenos Aires, Milhouse Hostel occupies a stunning, five-story 19th-century house, built around a charming, colonial-style atrium. Milhouse has earned its reputation as Buenos Aires' party king by offering guests the spectacular. While in Buenos Aires, you can choose either 6-bed dorm or single/double/twin/triple/quad room ensuite (including breakfast).
First stop is the beautiful colonial town of Colonia de Sacramento. Colonia faces Buenos Aires across the Río de la Plata river and is known for its cobbled historic quarter, irregular streets, typical lanterns, magical sunsets, and colonial Portuguese and Spanish buildings.
This package includes the ferry boat from Buenos Aires' port to Colonia's. You'll have to make your own way to Colonia Express boat terminal (10 min by taxi) in order to arrive 2 hours before the departure of the ferry. The trip lasts 1 hour. From the boat terminal you can walk to the hotel (10-15 min walk) or take a short-drive taxi. You'll stay one night at the Hostel del Rio with breakfast included. You'll have a free day in Colonia to explore the town at your own pace.
Next day, after you check out, you'll take a 2-hour bus ride to Montevideo. You'll check-in at the Hostel Medio Mundo, where you'll stay for 2 nights. Breakfast is also included. You'll have enough free time to discover the city and its different neighborhoods. A bike tour around Montevideo is included. You'll visit all the city highlights with a guide and there will be several stops to take pictures or take a close look at the landmarks. Tour starts at 10:00 and lasts around 4 hours - you'll have to make your way to the meeting point: Dr Jose Scoseria 2478.
Return to Buenos Aires by getting on a bus to Colonia first, and then connecting to the ferry boat (please be at the boat terminal 2 hours before). You'll be back in Buenos Aires' port in the evening.
