The relaxing Short Surf & Yoga Package program aims to make sure you get the most from your experience in Portugal whether you are experienced or have never tried yoga before. Experience revitalizing Yang Yoga sequences at sunrise to give you all the energy and focus you need for the day. Our in-house yogi will help develop muscular strength, stamina, flexibility, balance, and breathing. Have loads of fun during your surf lesson, which is run by certified instructors who follow a very unique approach in teaching. After an active day of chilling-out on the many beaches close by to our property, you can lounge around the BBQ at the The Salty Pelican with some cheap drinks and new best friends. Our friendly, highly experienced team will help you develop your own yoga & meditation practice, teach you how to relax and create the perfect experience. Just a great week of relaxation, meditation, sun, sand, surf, yoga, good people, good times and good vibes....

Surf... After breakfast the surf van picks you up and you’ll head out to the beach for your morning surf lessons. Our surf school is run by a team of certified instructors who follow a very unique approach in teaching. They will make sure that you learn the proper surf techniques and have loads of fun while doing it. The unique geography of our location means we not only have rideable waves almost every day of the year but that we can almost always find a wave to suit everyone.

Matkaohjelma

The Salty Pelican is a place to be happy. A place to feel like your own... a place to feel like home... it’s an entire experience consisting of everything we love: surf, yoga, sun, sea, salt, adventures, good people, good times and good vibes. So kick-up your feet... grab a cold sangria and really enjoy the spectacular BBQ sunset dinners here. With over 300 days of sun per year, you spend most of your time outdoors, even in winter. In 2023, a heated pool will also be available.

We are located at the perfect spot, just over 600m walk from both the beach and closest train station of Monte Estoril (2nd last stop before Cascais centre). Here you will find the beautiful seaside promenade where you can enjoy daily walks along the stunning coastline. The Salty Pelican has a beautiful garden where you can relax all day in either the sun or shade whilst enjoying a good book, refreshing sangria or just meeting new friends. In the evenings the garden is a good place to socialise after an active day of sun and surf with some relaxing music.

Please note that times do vary sometimes depending on weather, tides and seasons.

You can join as many of our scheduled yoga classes during your stay with us. Yoga is twice a day everyday except all day on Mondays and also on Thursday afternoons there is no yoga scheduled, instead we have the guided meditation hike scheduled these afternoons. You can choose to join your first yoga class either in the afternoon on your arrival day (if it does not fall on Monday or Thursday) or the following morning. * There are no refunds for any unused yoga classes.

Sunday Arrivals
If your arrival day falls on a Sunday, your first yoga class is scheduled on that afternoon between the starting time of 15:00 - 17:00 usually. If you miss this class, your first yoga class will commence on Tuesday morning, as there is no yoga scheduled all day on Monday.

Accommodation is with comfy beds in a spacious room; some with shared bathrooms and some ensuite. You can choose either Shared Premium 8-bed rooms, Female Only Deluxe 4-bed rooms, Female Only 4-bed Ensuite Villa, Female Only Shared 6-bed rooms, Female Only 3-bed Sea View rooms, or Deluxe Double** rooms (Seaview or Separate Villa). ** When booking just one bed, the room will be shared with one other guest but when booking 2 beds together with a friend, the room will be private.

Lisbon International Airport Transfers
We can organise a private airport transfers (to be paid locally) that take just 25 min. to reach The Salty Pelican, the price is €50 one way or €90 return (includes up to 4 persons per car). It is also an easy train ride via Lisbon to Cascais that takes approximately 85 minutes with 2 changes. When you choose to arrive by train to Cascais, please make sure you get off at the 2nd last stop of "Monte Estoril", from there it's a 7 min. walk slightly uphill.

The retreat includes a delicious healthy breakfast buffet served each morning with some freshly baked bread, fresh fruits, natural yogurts, vegetables, homemade hummus, jams, muesli & cereals, dried fruits, mixed nuts, chia seeds, cheeses, chorizo, eggs, Nespresso coffee pods, soy milk, herbal detox teas, fruit infused water and a delicious hot section with warm dishes varying throughout the week. You can also enjoy 4-6 group dinner evenings per week, including our famous seafood/vegetarian BBQ nights, our Portuguese tapas dinner or our sourdough pizza and wine nights (not included). Some weeks we also organise live music during these evenings. You will also find an all-day menu serving delicious Baja-Mexican food & drinks, local wines, ciders, sangria, local beers and some healthy locally made kombucha at an additional cost.

Optional activities (not included):
- Guided meditation Hike
Every Monday & Thursday afternoon we organise a guided hike down to the beautiful national beach of Praia da Ursa. Here we will practice meditation right on the sand with a peaceful picture perfect views, light snacks and wine to finish. It will probably be the highlight of your week here.

- Seafood BBQ nights including grilled vegetarian options, Sourdough pizza & wine evenings and Portuguese Tapas & Wine nights

- Rock climbing by the seaside and Sintra National park tours
