Learn, live, explore. The Alviela Ciência Viva Center offers a combination of exhibitions, activities and field trips to explore the region's natural heritage. Options include a virtual journey through the 175 million year old Limestone Massif, where herds of dinosaurs “marked” their footprints in the region of the Aire Mountain, a tour of the underground water pathways in 3D, "put yourself in the shoes" of a bat and be guided only by sound and more interactive exhibitions. The Alviela Ciência Viva Center - Carsoscópio is part of a national network of Ciência Viva Centers, and is located next to the Alviela River spring, one of the most important water springs in Portugal.
